Founder & CEO
Shev Rush founded SRPR in 2005. The agency was named one of the Top 5 small PR agencies in a 2008 survey of over 800 journalists, and Shev himself was named one of the Top 25 technology and business PR professionals in 2009. He has over 18 years of experience in a variety of marketing disciplines, and has worked with a variety of notable public and private companies. Prior to founding SRPR, Shev held executive roles in the marketing communications, Internet and financial services arena.
Shev is active in historical preservation and is an avid supporter of the Los Angeles Conservancy and the Palm Springs Modern Committee. He resides in Los Angeles.
Brenda Patterson has more than 10 years of marketing and public relations experience in the corporate, non-profit and agency arenas. Prior to joining SRPR, she was Director of Marketing for Brulant, one of the nation’s leading interactive marketing firms. In that role, she managed the company’s national public relations program, garnering media placements that included the Wall Street Journal and Investor’s Business Daily, as well as other marketing and branding initiatives. She has also served as Corporate Communications Manager with Colliers International and Senior Marketing & Business Development Associate for Christian & Timbers.
Brenda has ghost-authored numerous articles, whitepapers and speeches, and writes a weekly online column for Examiner.com. She is based in San Diego.
Jay has more than 15 years of public relations and marketing experience in the areas of consumer, technology, business-to-business, and event production and publicity. With a focus on media relations, story development and strategic writing, he is passionate about working with the media and finding ways to get his clients in the press. Jay routinely makes placements across a wide range of high-level media outlets.
Jay has held senior positions with both public relations agencies and public companies, where he has developed extensive media contacts over the years. Jay’s diverse background working with a range of consumer, technology and professional services companies has resulted in his ability to find the right issues to drive client messaging in any market.

Kristi Lane started her PR career at SRPR in 2006 and has secured placements in a variety of media, including Bloomberg, CNN, Forbes, Getty Images, Yahoo News, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Houston Chronicle, Dallas Morning News, AARP Magazine, Marie Claire, Cosmo, and many others. She is responsible for managing client reporting, target media lists and journalist databases, and conducts ongoing media audits for clients.
Kristi received a B.A. in English, with an emphasis in creative writing, from Washburn University and is based in Kansas City.
Kevin is a seasoned marketing executive working with leading US and global brands, from consumer packaged goods to high tech, and is a long-time recovering mergers and acquisitions analyst doggedly focused on ROI.
With deep roots in both the traditional and digital agency worlds, Kevin has led advertising agencies, global accounts and client brands into truly integrated marketing programs that drive results. Kevin’s a firm believer that the future of successful marketing strategy is a blend of the best from the traditional advertising model and emerging digital marketing best practices.
